  You will find up to date listings for ten islands in Casco Bay in this convenient, well designed phonebook. It has proven itself indispensable since 2002 for its convenient size, large print, quality spiral binding, single column listings, advertisers in bold print in the general listings by island and two year shelf life.
 
 The directory begins with a General Index covering numbers that are common to all or most of the islands. In the island sections, you will find alongside the map for each island, a section titled “Emergency & Organizations” which lists specific emergency and non-emergency numbers for that island along with often sought numbers within that island community. Each island has listings in alphabetical order with note pages for your own often used numbers.  Since advertising is throughout the directory, you no longer have to search for an ad, just go to the Index to Advertisers in the first few pages.  The maps are great! Besides an overview map at the front, each island section starts with a map, courtesy of Peaks Information Exchange.

  There is a special section after Peaks Island of all the Peaks non-profits with website information and contact numbers. The “Old Port Walker’s Map” helps us all do our part of “going green” with walking times and parking information for the Old Port section of Portland at the back of the directory. Although it refers to Peaks, the sentiments cover all of the islands.
